Project description

Endometriosis is a chronic disease characterised by growth of cells in ectopic locations and chronic inflammation.

This project looks to

  1. Characterise a novel interferon in the pathogenesis of disease and
  2. Determine whether IFN can be used as a therapeutic for endometriosis.

This project utilises both in vitro and in vivo models of endometriosis and will include techniques such as tissue/cell culture, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, PCR, bioinformatics.

This project can be adapted for BSc Hons, MSc and PhD.
