Biography
Dr Sharmin Jahan is a PhD candidate in the Endocrine Hypertension Research Group and an Associate Professor at BSMMU, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Her current research aims to compare the diagnostic efficacy for primary aldosteronism (PA) of the captopril challenge test with the saline suppression test, and to determine a simple diagnostic pathway for PA.
Dr Jahan is also looking at the prevalence and the treatment outcome of PA patients in Bangladesh under the Study Abroad program.
