Biography

Dr Rheannon Blucher is a post-doctoral researcher working with A/Prof Robin Hobbs in the Germline Stem Cell Biology Group at Hudson Institute of Medical Research.

Dr Blucher completed her Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Deakin University in 2018, followed by a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) at Monash University in 2019. In 2023, Dr Blucher completed her PhD thesis under the supervision of A/Prof Patrick Western at Hudson Institute. Her PhD research investigated the role of signalling pathways including FGF, MEK1/2 and VEGF in fetal testis development and male germline differentiation.

Dr Blucher’s current research focuses on defining the molecular mechanisms regulating spermatogonial stem cell (SSC) function and male fertility.
