Biography

Remy Young is a PhD candidate in the Microbiota and Systems Biology Laboratory, studying the response of the microbiota to nutrient changes. Remy completed her undergraduate degree at UNSW in Sydney. She then joined the Microbiota and Systems Biology group to undertake an honours degree, where she worked on characterising the variability of the microbiota across Australian communities. Remy’s current work combines phenotypic and genomic methods to elucidate the metabolic interactions between the microbiota and dietary compounds.
