Professors Burger and Trounson elected Academy fellows
Hudson Institute Professors Henry Burger and Alan Trounson are newly-elected fellows of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.

Fellows are drawn from all states and territories, and from all aspects of health and medical science from basic translation and clinical research to public health and industry. The Academy provides an impartial and authoritative voice for healthcare, informed by expert advice from the best and brightest in health and medical research.
Professor Burger is a world-leading endocrinologist and a long-serving director of the former Prince Henry’s Institute.
Professor Trounson is an IVF and stem cell pioneer; co-founder of the Monash Institute of Medical Research and current Distinguished Scientist at the Institute.
Professor Warwick Anderson, the Institute’s newest board member, was also elected one of 13 new Honorary Fellows.
The fellowships were announced at the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences Annual Scientific Meeting in Canberra on Monday.
