Professor John Funder receives 2016 Ipsen Award for Endocrinology

Congratulations to Professor John Funder AC, who received the 2016 Ipsen Award of the Fondation Ipsen (Paris) at the combined Chinese Society for Endocrinology/International Congress of Endocrinology meeting in Beijing.

Professor Funder is the first ever Australian researcher to receive the award – all of the previous recipients were from the USA and Europe.

This is the 15th annual Ipsen award, and the first awarded to a researcher in Cardiovascular Endocrinology.

Professor Funder gave a plenary lecture at the Congress, received a medal and dinner in his honour, as well as a cash prize.
