Since completing her PhD at the University of Adelaide, Ruby has published two first-author papers in the prestigious Gut journal and Immunology and Cell Biology, which investigate the role of the innate immune DNA sensor, AIM2, in gastric inflammation and tumorigenesis. She also has co-authorship on manuscripts in other reputable journals which investigate mechanisms of gastric cancer, a review on IL-6 family cytokines (Cytokine) and a book chapter based on the innate immune system in gastric cancer that is part of book series entitled “Research and Clinical Applications of Targeting Gastric Neoplasms” (Elsevier).

Ruby is active in the wider scientific community as an elected council member of the International Cytokine and Interferon Society (ICIS) and an ECR representative on the Victorian Infection and Immunity Network (VIIN) Young Investigator Committee.
